5 Things You Need to Know About Buying Santa Clarita Real Estate

1. Rates are fantastic which translates into MORE house for LESS money each month for you! Not all lenders are created equal as I think we have learned by now. If you have a trustworthy lender, great! If you don't know of one, allow me to refer you to a few so that you can make an informed decision amongst people that I know are trustworthy.

2. Much of Santa Clarita homes for sale are REO's (foreclosures) or short sales. These are not your typical sales and require a knowledgeable Real Estate agent to help you through the maize so that you will get the best deal and not a lemon.

3. Santa Clarita New Homes are still a great deal as the builders are giving many incentives and great interest rates to entice you to buy from them. VERY IMPORTANT - only visit new homes the FIRST TIME with your Real Estate agent because if you don't, they will no longer be able to represent you. Often times I know about deals that can be negotiated that are not publicized, and on top, you really don't want to go through a home purchase alone.

4. If you are new to the area, Santa Clarita is made up of several cities which include Valencia, Stevenson Ranch, Saugus, Canyon Country, and Newhall. We also consider Castaic as part of our area even though it is not "officially" part of us. Each area has its own personality and nuances so be sure to work with a Santa Clarita Realtor who is knowledgeable about the Santa Clarita real estate market.

5. The time to buy Santa Clarita homes is NOW! Great rates, great prices, and it is "low season". Take advantage of all of these factors and make a move into your first home, move into a larger home, or maybe even downsize into a more manageably sized home. Additionally, there are some nice investment purchases out there as well if this is something you are interested in.
