Castaic is not officially part of Santa Clarita, but we like to think it is! It is just 7 minutes north of Valencia and its residents definiately feel a part of Santa Clarita. The great thing about Castaic is that it is centered on either side of the 5 freeway so access is close, but not TOO close, and it is still just a short jaunt to the shops and entertainment that Valencia has to offer. Also in Castaic one can find the beautiful Castaic Lake which is especially lovely in the Summer months for picnics and some boating activities! Castaic is near the 126 junction which has been ear-marked for future building by the Newhall Land/Lennar Corporation of a grand new community with its own shopping, city services, homes, and of course lots of open space. Castaic is a great place to find a lovely home just minutes from the Valencia area and its prices are typically a little bit less for that 7 minute trek. Soon though, once the communities expand, it will be its own centralized city. Castaic is a very nice place to live so if you are interested in Castaic real estate, you just let me know!
