Let's Be More Positive In 2009

As this is my first post here, I decided after reading over headlines that I, for one, am tired of the doom and gloom. It's a new year and with it come new hopes, new goals, and new opportunities. Is it really that different than a few weeks ago? Well, call me Pollyanna, but I do think that if we change our thinking & our actions that it can make all the difference!

When the first headline I read was "Consumer Confidence at an All Time Low", I thought "well no wonder!" All we hear about is how bad everything is! So, turn off the news, tune out the 'bad news drone', and think about some good stuff. Make a list even of all the good things that you experienced in 2008 and the all the good things you would like to see in 2009.

Here is some good news in real estate:

*Mortgage rates are at an all time low!
*More lenders are allowing 'early workout' loan alterations!
*In 2008, on average over 250 Santa Clarita homes were sold a month!
*Property taxes can be adjusted to your home's value in January for the next year!
